GTFA wear pink to support the Pink Ribbon Foundation

GTFA was formed in the 15/16 season and is mainly young players coached by George Timotheou (GT) in their youth. George is a UEFA licensed coach with over 10 years experience in youth football. He has worked in professional football as well as many National and International projects. Highlights include reaching the final stages of the Gothia Cup and meeting David Beckham during an Olympic 2012 project.

With lots of energy and technical ability, the team had little experience… in senior football. GTFA has attracted some new players which has given them a balance of youth and experience. Their playing style and philosophy is to play quickly in possession, together in defence, with honesty and respect. GTFA has won promotion and the 50 year anniversary cup in their first season.

Recently, a few friends and family were diagnosed with breast cancer and to support these ladies and others like them, GTFA decided to select the colour pink as their playing kit for the season. They launched their fundraising campaign in the cup final programme and plan to raise money for the Pink Ribbon Foundation throughout the 16/17 season.
